Under 13s at Market Harborough
Sunday 15th November 2009
With just 15 players available H.R.F.C. Under 13s fought hard for but lost their 100% winning record for the season to a strong Market Harborough squad.
Going a try down in the first minutes Hinckley came back with 2 debut tries from Letts and a try and 2 conversions from Ruskin before injury reduced them to 14 men and Market Harborough scored 2 more tries to make the score Hinckley 19 points to 15 at half time.
A disallowed try after an intense multi-phase effort in the first quarter of the second half saw them further reduced to 13 men, three of who were “walking wounded”. This gave Harborough the opportunity to score 3 more tries and 2 conversions and a very flattering final score of 34 point to 19.
Whilst they lost on points the Under 13s showed a resilience which should point the way to a very productive season.
